How is everyone doing? Today is a raining sort of day.
Down comes the rain or teardrops? Life is a maze that
has to be traveled. This trail is full of laughter and that
trail is full of heartache and tears. Which way will it
go today?
Sitting at home. Have been trying to get on the blog, email,
or Face book and Tonya has been so good to change
passwords and I would still get it wrong. Surprise surprise
there was a dot instead of @. How do we miss the little
things in life? The hugs of loved ones gone to soon by
our timing not God's. The encouraging words, the flowers
that are not blooming now because it is the wrong season.
We will start back meeting in January on the
30th at 6:30. Launch Point Church in Tuscumbia.
Also we will be trying Skype for the ones that are
not able to attend but have internet access. The email
and Facebook are also still active.
Please keep us in your prayers to say and do the
right things.
God bless always,
Theresa McGuyer

Hello to one and all!!
I know it has been awhile since we have
been on our site. Many apologies for the
inconvenience or thinking we may have canceled.
Tonya and I have had to be moms with our
children. Surgeries and disorders have kept
us busy. We still have access to your emails
and web sites so we can respond to you personally.
This life is so busy. Never dull. Tiffany had her esophagus
stretched on Friday. We have had a slow weekend. Good outlook for long term recovery. Still not able to eat everything
good.
Have you had days where you wanted to give words of encouragement but couldn't? So much to say but can't get from
brain to keystrokes.
Everyone have a good week. Please keep us in your prayers.
We are still meeting at Launch Point Church.
Last Thursday of every month at 6:30 p.m.
God bless all Theresa McGuyer

Exciting Times
It was a great day. It rained. Much laughter.
God opened a great door. We were interviewed at
the radio station WZZA. Tory did a wonderful job
making the interview go smoothly.
Hope it reached a heart that needed to hear
our journey. So many people with needs and burdens.
Each day is a brand new day. So much to learn
and share.
This is a woooooohooooooo day as my
granddaughter would say.

Need Ideas
Hello! Hope this finds everyone doing well or
at least better than yesterday! Every day is a brand
new day with new challenges and new insights.
On Thursday stress level was very high.
Hoping to get thoughts ready, refreshments together,
information ready, and clothes together. (Had to
work and no time to go home and get ready. So
freshen up at church. Haha.) While waiting for
time to start the meeting the alarm went off because
of not keying in enough numbers. Loud alarm. Called
alarm company so the police wouldn't come. So much
to laugh about.
Very good meeting. Young mother keeping the
faith but not sure of what to do next. We were able
to answer her questions and pray with her. She
encouraged us as well. Stress level went down as
we talked as mothers and friends. Sometimes that
is all that is needed. Someone to laugh with, cry with,
and just be accepted.
Keep us in your prayers. We need to
make the right decisions.
We are to be interviewed on March 5, 2013 at 9:00 am on the radio station
WZZA.
We would like to thank WZZA and WQLT
and her sister stations for advertising for us. It is
so appreciated.

What a Day?
Have you ever had a day that couldn't
be made up if you had to? (haha) We are trying
to get our support group up and running. Trying
to make sure everything is legal and batting zero.
I know there has to be procedures to keep
everyone safe but sometimes very unexpected.
On the day we went to the IRS office please don't
arrive early and leave all purses in car or at home.
Form needed has to be ordered or printed off
internet. IRS lady very nice. We knew as little
when left as when we got there.
After taking Tonya (vice president) home
and visiting guest speaker on way home was
pulled over by a State Trooper for not noticing speed limit.
As Tiffany (my daughter) and I was waiting for
license and insurance check she became rattled.
Blank look and not moving (she doesn't handle
unusual situations very well. The State Trooper
comes back and concerned. I explain what is
wrong and he tell me to go home and take care
of her and I do.
My grand daughter Arizona has been going
around saying wooohoooo on every good thing.
You have to hear her to get the effect. Trying to
record her but have not succeeded yet. So we
need more woooohooooo days. So woooohoooo.

Open Doors
It is amazing how by just taking a step of faith doors open for God's opportunities. I know God
has brought us through so much but through making
bad choices sometimes why did he choose us?
I keep thinking of David of the Old Testament.
A man after God's heart. He made some bad choices
but kept chasing God. God in all of His perfection
forgave David but had consequences for his choices.
Just talking with people and watching them
everyone handles life challenges differently. Some
don't have a relationship with God and some do. It
is amazing how differently it is handled between the
groups.
My challenges have been handled with peace
on some occasions and with panic with others. God
is always there but we move from closeness to distance by our choices but either He brings us through.
So just keep praying, keep close friends, and
when He asks just walk out on faith and one step.
He will handle the rest.
Look for the rainbow,
Theresa

Living Life to the BEST of it's ABILITY!
Do you ever wonder why you have to go through life with so many trials and storms of life? I know I do all the time. I have learned that it takes a whole lot of patience and perseverance to face the adversity in this life God has given me. I wouldn't change it for nothing though because I have learned through the years that I have become a stronger woman because of it. The unconditional love that these precious children give to us is so sweet and pure. There are so many times that we dont understand why a certain thing happens and sometimes we get side tracked with all the things that we are faced with each day but it all boils down to God and how He knew we could take care of something so precious and fragile that was given to us and knowing that WE as PARENTS would do the right thing in taking care for them. As I try each day to look at the positive in each day, I choose to find JOY in the midst of it. That is why I titled this blog "living life to the best of its ability". No matter where life takes you, stand up for what you believe in and do it for your children! There are so many people in this world that can be so negative. I have heard time and time again of what my children cant do. You would think that people would have a heart of understanding your circumstance and what you deal with on a daily basis but that is just not it in most cases. So with all of that being said, My family chooses to live life to the fullest because we never know what may happen the very next minute. My sweet Brandon has life threatening seizures that last anywhere from 5 minutes to 8 hours..... He has been put on life support and flown all over to different hospitals. He had a stoke during one of the 8 hour seizures that left him paralized on his right side because the left part of the brain was not functioning at all. He has movement from then on but cant control his right side. That's just one thing that we deal with on a daily basis. I hope that this can be some encouragement for you to keep pressing on. No matter how bad you think you may have it and no matter what you are up against. Just know that we are here to help and support you and be there for you. If you need prayer, we will pray. If you need a shoulder to cry on, we will cry with you. Life is hard and there are so many bumps in the road that you will cross and we as a support group want to help. May you each have a wonderful evening. Please feel free to call on us at anytime. We are here for you.
God Bless,

Learning Day by Day
Today was a learning day. Ever have a project due that was important for a special event and your computer was invaded by the computer fairy and it never worked. We conquered it today.
So many days are learning days. My daughter Tiffany has Williams Syndrome. A genetic disorder of chromosome number 7. A half of chromosome is missing. It doesn't sound like much but it is. Health issues and learning disabilities.
It is so hard to see her have seizures but technically they are not because they showed on the wrong line. She is a trooper to endure so much. More are happening but we just watch her.
My co-founder Tonya saw one and agreed that is was what it looked like. It was good to have someone agree.
That is what this support group is about. Not feeling alone.
That what you are living with is more than superficial living.
For so many years my husband, parents, family and friends
have seen many different health problems. Seen by the best doctors. Some have worked and understood others not so much but still felt alone.
Go out in public and not much understanding. That is what this group is for. Much understanding. If you have a question
we will try to help. Will search for the answer.
God has brought us through so much. That is where this idea came from a whisper from God.
Please come and join. So excited. Looking forward to see what God is going to do.

Day by Day!
As I begin to write and share about our Support Group, It brings joy to my heart in knowing that friendships will be made and we can all learn together what is it is like on a day to day basis with your special needs child or as I like to call them- special blessings. As we start a new year, I want to encourage everyone that we will have some speakers come in and speak on topics that you have concerns about. It is important that you come to the meetings if you would like to be involved. We would love to have as many parents as we can to come and be encouraged. If you have any questions please contact Theresa McGuyer at 256-443-9607 or Tonya Aycock at 256-394-0040. We will have pictures and more blogs to follow in the upcoming months.
Our NEXT meeting is January 31, 2013 @ 6:30
Thank You,
Have a Blessed Evening,
